I am Ms. Phalguni Parewa, a Counselling Psychologist with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. My journey into psychology began with a simple curiosity about people’s inner worlds. Even as a student, I was someone who loved to listen, connect, and be present for others in times of need. When psychology was introduced to me as a subject, I immediately felt drawn to its depth and purpose—the chance to truly understand how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors shape our lives. Over time, this curiosity grew into a calling: to walk alongside people in their journeys of healing, growth, and self-discovery. In my practice, I show up as a real person—curious, compassionate, and fully present. My style is warm and conversational, never rigid or overly clinical. I believe therapy works best when it adapts to the client, so I shape each session based on what feels most helpful in the moment. Some sessions may be structured, using evidence-based tools like CBT or DBT to work toward specific goals, while others may be more open, giving space to explore emotions, relationships, or deeper patterns. I also draw from ACT, SFBT, MBCT, mindfulness, psychodynamic thought, and person-centered therapy, always tailoring the approach to fit the unique needs of the individual. For me, the therapeutic relationship is at the core of healing. I believe in creating a space that feels safe, open, and non-judgmental—where you don’t have to filter your thoughts or feelings. Respect, trust, transparency, collaboration, and confidentiality guide my work. I take confidentiality very seriously, knowing that it builds trust and allows clients to share freely. Therapy, to me, is not about “fixing” anyone—it is about walking alongside you, supporting you as you discover what healing, clarity, or change looks like for you. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and neurodiverse individuals, supporting them through anxiety, mood difficulties, personality and identity concerns, OCD, stress, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. I also specialize in child and adolescent mental health, neurodevelopmental conditions (such as ADHD and autism), career guidance, and psycho-oncology—supporting individuals and families coping with cancer and chronic illness. What keeps me deeply connected to this work is the resilience I witness every day. Being part of someone’s healing journey is both humbling and inspiring. Each story of vulnerability and courage reinforces my belief in the power of therapy to create real, lasting change. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients feel more understood, reclaim a sense of agency, and move forward in ways that feel meaningful and true to them.
